You know what the internet needs more of? Social media.

Thankfully, Google Plus has come to the rescue. Honestly, the mere thought of creating another social media world exhausts me; but, I tend to follow the crowd like a lemming so I set up an account. Now that I’ve had a chance to play around with Google Plus, I thought I’d give you a quick review to highlight the pros and cons as I see them.

Here’s a little infographic I put together comparing the different social media sites:

One other note: a thing called Klout is all the rage in social media right now. Here are my 2 cents: I recently discovered Klout and set up a profile. My Klout score is currently 53. I haven’t the slightest clue what this means. If it’s on a scale of 1-100, I guess it means that I’m failing at the internet. I pretty much already knew that. Despite my failure, according to Klout I’m pretty influential about Walmart and the government. Awesome. If only that were true in real life. Anyhow, Klout is pretty much irrelevant to me right now…but, I can’t seem to keep from checking my score every couple of days. I don’t like Klout.

In summary, it would really help me out if a few of those billionaires would form the conglomerate Facegooglewitter. Posting “I’m eating a sandwich” on three different sites is a bit cumbersome.
