Earlier this week my 5-year-old told me that he had written a letter to Santa and left it in our mailbox. I wasn’t sure what had prompted the letter (it is July after all), so I was quite curious to read it. Later that day (when he wasn’t around), I went outside to get the letter out of the mailbox. It was gone. I thought the mail carrier had picked it up. Today, he came running into the house with a little envelope. “SANTA WROTE ME BACK!” Here is the letter that was written back to him:
That is my 4th (soon to be 5th) grader’s handwriting. I guess she heard that he had written a letter also (or found it in the mailbox). She’s awesome.
